Liaison Launches PostBacCAS™ to Optimize Postbaccalaureate Admissions

Centralized Application Service (CAS™) for postbac programs provides a better applicant experience while streamlining application review

WATERTOWN, Mass. (November 30, 2017) –Responding to unprecedented demand for postbaccalaureate education, Liaison International launched PostBacCAS™ in August 2017. Beyond its intuitive application and streamlined administrative portal, the first Centralized Application Service (CAS™) for postbac programs offers prospective students and participating programs the support of Liaison’s dedicated customer service and processing teams.

PostBacCAS serves as a central marketplace for prospective students to research available postbac opportunities and apply to multiple programs with one application. “As a central source for information about all available postbac opportunities, PostBacCAS helps students make more informed decisions about which programs are best suited for their professional goals,” shared Jackie McLaughlin, director of the postbac pre-health program at University of Pennsylvania and co-chair of the advisory board working closely with Liaison to develop the new service. Once students determine their best-fit programs, email and live phone support is available to guide them through the application process.

For participating programs, PostBacCAS eliminates burdens of manual administrative tasks by taking on processing and verifying application components. In addition to supporting applicants, the PostBacCAS customer service team assists programs with onboarding and provides ongoing support to help them realize the long-term benefits of implementing the new solution.

As a part of its cloud-based admissions software, PostBacCAS collects data and displays it through analytics tools developed for evaluating, selecting and enrolling best-fit postbac students. “Having access to this data at an early stage of our process will facilitate better admissions outcomes. Program directors will be better positioned to predict trends and determine best practices that drive enrollment results,” added DeEttra Mulay, director of the postbac pre-medical program at Scripps College and PostBacCAS advisory board co-chair.

“We’re excited to power a postbac-specific version of the same successful application service currently leveraged by over 30 health professions,” said George Haddad, founder and CEO of Liaison. “Beyond just a centralized application, this comprehensive solution of software and services offers a platform for programs to share best practices. Ultimately, it will bring awareness to the universe of postbac programs so more prospective health professionals can realize their aspirations.”
