U.S. News & World Report Reveals Top 10 Most Applied To Schools
U.S. News surveyed more than 1,800 colleges and universities for their 2018 survey of undergraduate programs. According to their findings, eight of the 10 undergraduate institutions with the most applicants are public schools based in California. The remaining two are private schools based in the Northeast.

MIT Announces New College for AI
MIT announced plans to spend $1 billion on a new college to study artificial intelligence. The new college, which will hold its first classes in fall 2019, will explore both the future and implications of the growing field. The new building is scheduled to open in 2022.

2008 Recession Still Hurting Higher Ed IT Departments
According to the latest Campus Computing Survey, more than two-thirds of 242 institutions say their campus IT budgets have still not recovered from the 2008 recession. The survey results cite data security and hiring/retaining IT talent as their two largest challenges.
