WATERTOWN, Mass., Feb. 18, 2025 / — Liaison, a leader in higher education technology, is pleased to announce its strategic partnership with the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM) to launch “Othot for AACOMAS,” an advanced predictive analytics and holistic review solution tailored for osteopathic medical schools using AACOMAS (AACOM’s Centralized Application Service).
Recognizing the value of data-driven decision-making in medical school admissions, AACOM has made a strategic investment to offer “Othot for AACOMAS” to all member schools utilizing AACOMAS. This new platform enhances institutions’ ability to assess applicants effectively, prioritize resources, and support enrollment goals with minimal lift from participating schools.
“Othot for AACOMAS” builds on the success of a pilot program at Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine, which demonstrated measurable improvements in applicant engagement, interview prioritization, and enrollment yield over the past two years.
With its predictive analytics and holistic review capabilities, the platform is designed to:
- Leverage AI-powered predictions | Institutions receive data-driven insights on applicants’ likelihood to enroll, enabling targeted engagement strategies.
- Streamline application review | Schools can prioritize application review, manage interviews efficiently, and make strategic decisions on waitlists and alternate pools.
- Enable holistic review | Admissions teams gain a broader view of candidates beyond traditional metrics, promoting a more comprehensive, inclusive selection process.
- Reduce implementation burden | Seamless integration with Liaison’s WebAdMIT eliminates the need for standalone or third-party data sources, making adoption easy.
The first cohort of AACOMAS schools will gain access to the predictive analytics component in March 2025, with the holistic review functionality rolling out in April 2025.
“Our collaboration with AACOM reflects Liaison’s commitment to empowering institutions with data-driven solutions that enhance the admissions process,” George Haddad, Founder and CEO of Liaison, said. “With ‘Othot for AACOMAS,’ we are providing osteopathic medical schools with powerful tools to make informed, strategic enrollment decisions while supporting holistic review efforts. We are excited to strengthen our partnership with AACOM and continue driving innovation in medical school admissions.”
Dr. Robert Cain, President and Chief Executive Officer of AACOM, commented that, “Using a technology-augmented approach to application review, we hope to better identify students aligned to the values of osteopathic medicine while also increasing access for those students with the capacity to be successful in osteopathic medical school.”
Following the launch of “Othot for AACOMAS,” Liaison is actively exploring additional integrations with other Centralized Application Services. This expansion aligns with Liaison’s broader mission to streamline admissions processes and support institutions across various disciplines.
